LIVE THE COFFEE EXPERIENCE FROM THE BEAN TO THE CUP
Truly dedicated coffee enthusiasts can immerse themselves in a coffee experience around those magical little beans on our daily coffee tour. The tour will give you a satisfaction of understanding and passion equal or greater to that which our guides and the people who work at Hacienda Venecia reflect, and you will be able to contextualize the traditional cup of coffee in a whole new way.
Experience Details
On our tour we will start with a delicious cup of coffee, we will give you a general introduction to the world of coffee, where you will learn about the origin and history of coffee, the worldwide distribution, the different varieties, qualities and also about the aromas and properties of coffee.
After the perfect morning cup and full of energy, the interactive tour continues with a walk through the plantation to learn more about the cultivation and harvest. We will accompany you to visit the mill to learn about the processing and commercialization of coffee; you will be able to analyze and differentiate between a perfectly roasted coffee bean and a coffee bean that can be rejected in just a matter of seconds. You will have the opportunity to taste and see coffee beans with different degrees of roasting to experience the different aromas, since roasting brings out the aroma and flavor found within the green coffee beans. This heat process turns the green coffee bean into the fragrant dark brown beans we know and love.

Minimum seven (7) people
- The "shared coffee tour" has the option of adding transportation from the city of Manizales, which includes pick up around 8:30 am at the points we have and returning to the Autopista del Café at the end of the tour, where you must take transportation to return to the city (only applies for shared coffee tour).
Recommendations
- While walking through the plantation, be sure to protect yourself from the strong Colombian sun with a hat or sunscreen.
- We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes (sandals are not recommended).
NOTES
- The machines of the mill will not be in operation on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays because on these days there is no flow of activities corresponding to the processing of coffee. However, do not worry, our guides will enter the mill and show you the process during the tour.
